The University of Waterloo (UWaterloo) has once again earned a top-25 position in computer science, as recognized by the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings.
Climbing one spot to #21 this year, UWaterloo is setting the pace for global tech, edging out giants like Columbia and NYU, and breathing down the necks of Cornell and Princeton.
According to the rankings, it’s also the #2 computer science school in Canada, second only to fellow Toronto-Waterloo Corridor school, the University of Toronto.

The winning streak continues
Computer Science isn’t the only win for Waterloo. The university also scored highly in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (#28, up one spot from 2023) and Mathematics (#39, up four spots from 2023), edging out some impressive Ivy League names.
